About us

More than an institution — a learning community

Promise Centre for Education & International Studies has been teaching children in Kolkata since 2000. In that time more than 5,000 students aged 3 to 20 have come through our programmes, and the centre has grown into a network of franchisee units across West Bengal — with new units opening in Guwahati and Bhubaneswar.

We are not a conventional tuition centre. Our work sits at the meeting point of cognitive science and everyday teaching: Vedic maths and abacus for mental agility, coding for structured thinking, astronomy for curiosity, and soft skills for the confidence to use all of it. The centre is run by an all-women faculty team, every one of them trained in-house.

Dr. Soma Goho

In a rapidly evolving world, Dr. Soma Goho stands as a visionary voice redefining education through innovation, neuroscience and purpose. An educator, author and entrepreneur, she is the Founder and Director of Promise Centre for Education and International Studies, and of the brand Promise Your Child for a Better Future — a transformative initiative dedicated to nurturing the full potential of young minds.

Her programmes focus on soft skills, brain development and emotional intelligence, blending scientific insight with creative learning to help children understand how to think rather than only what to think. Drawing on research in cognitive science and neuroeducation, she has built proprietary training modules that improve memory, focus, emotional regulation and learning agility.

Alongside teaching children, she trains women as educators — the centre's internal training programme is run exclusively for women, and every faculty member at Promise has come through it. She is the author of Little Leaders, Big Life Skills (2025), and was featured on the October 2025 cover of The Entrepreneur Bytes as a trailblazer in brain-based learning.
